This article sets out the data infrastructure requirements that must underpin the stress testing programme introduced in earlier articles.

Rather than addressing the content of the stress tests themselves, it focuses on the technical and organisational foundations that make those tests possible — ensuring that issuers have the capacity, quality controls, and resources in place to run their programmes consistently and effectively.

Important points:

Ensure your data infrastructure is adequate, transparent, flexible, and capable of meeting the full data demands of your stress testing programme.
The data infrastructure must be proportionate to your size, complexity, and risk and business profile, and must cover all material risks.
Devote sufficient human, financial and material resources to the development and maintenance of your data infrastructure, including information technology systems.
