Artikel 69 Information till behöriga myndigheter

Summary What does Article 69 of the MiCA regulation say?

This brief but important article establishes a notification obligation for crypto-asset service providers whenever there are changes to their management body.

It connects directly to Article 68, which sets out the suitability and governance requirements for management body members.

The purpose of this article is to ensure that competent authorities are kept informed and can verify ongoing compliance with those requirements before any new member begins exercising their role.

Important points:

  • Notify your competent authority without delay of any changes to your management body, and do so prior to new members beginning their activities.
  • Provide all information necessary for the competent authority to assess compliance with Article 68, which governs the suitability and conduct standards for management body members.
  • Competent authorities receive this notification proactively, giving them the opportunity to assess new members before they take up their duties.
