Art. 118 EBA:s kommitté för kryptotillgångar | MiCA regulation | MiCA

This article establishes the internal organisational structure within EBA to handle its crypto-asset supervisory responsibilities under this regulation.

It requires EBA to set up a dedicated permanent internal committee — a crypto-asset committee — specifically to prepare EBA's decisions related to the supervisory tasks assigned to it by this regulation.

This article directly supports and connects to Article 117, which confers those supervisory tasks on EBA in respect of issuers of significant asset-referenced tokens and significant e-money tokens.

EBA is required to create a permanent internal crypto-asset committee to prepare its supervisory decisions under this regulation.
The committee's scope also covers the preparation of draft regulatory and implementing technical standards related to EBA's crypto-asset supervisory tasks.
EBA must ensure the committee's activities are limited strictly to crypto-asset related tasks as defined in this article.

1. EBA ska inrätta en permanent intern kommitté enligt artikel 41 i förordning (EU) nr 1093/2010 i syfte att utarbeta EBA:s beslut som ska fattas i enlighet med artikel 44 i den förordningen, inbegripet beslut om de tillsynsuppgifter som EBA har tilldelats genom den här förordningen.
1. Kommittén för kryptotillgångar får också utarbeta beslut som rör förslag till tekniska standarder för tillsyn och förslag till tekniska standarder för genomförande avseende tillsynsuppgifter som har tilldelats EBA genom denna förordning.
1. EBA ska säkerställa att kommittén för kryptotillgångar endast utför den verksamhet som avses i punkterna 1 och 2 och alla andra uppgifter som är nödvändiga för utförandet av dess verksamhet med anknytning till kryptotillgångar.
