Summary What does Article 2 of the ITS on competent authority information exchange say?
This article establishes the foundational infrastructure for cross-border cooperation between competent authorities under Regulation (EU) 2023/1114 (MiCA).
It sets up a contact point system, requiring each competent authority to designate a specific point of contact through which requests for cooperation and information exchange will be channelled.
This article directly underpins the procedural articles that follow, as Articles 3 through 6 all rely on these designated contact points as the primary channel for communication between authorities.

Alla behöriga myndigheter ska utse en kontaktpunkt i syfte av att kommunicera begäranden om samarbete och informationsutbyte i enlighet med artikel 95 i förordning (EU) 2023/1114.
De behöriga myndigheterna ska lämna närmare uppgifter om sina kontaktpunkter till Esma senast den 15 januari 2025 och ska förse Esma med uppdaterade uppgifter vid behov.
Esma ska upprätthålla och uppdatera en förteckning över de kontaktpunkter som utsetts av de behöriga myndigheterna i enlighet med punkt 1.
