The Commission is assisted by a committee governed by Regulation (EU) No 182/2011, specifically operating under the examination procedure of Article 5 of that Regulation.

Where a written procedure is used to obtain the committee's opinion, any member of the committee or the chair can terminate that procedure without result within the applicable time-limit.
