Article 19 Handling of qualified alerts
The AI Office means the Commission’s function of contributing to the implementation, monitoring and supervision of AI systems and general-purpose AI models, and AI governance, provided for in Commission Decision of 24 January 2024; references in this Regulation to the AI Office shall be construed as references to the Commission; shall evaluate the qualified alerts issued pursuant to Article 90(1) of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 and take a decision whether to launch any measures as provided for in Articles 91 to 93 of that Regulation. Where the AI Office means the Commission’s function of contributing to the implementation, monitoring and supervision of AI systems and general-purpose AI models, and AI governance, provided for in Commission Decision of 24 January 2024; references in this Regulation to the AI Office shall be construed as references to the Commission; decides not to launch any measures as provided for in Articles 91 to 93, it shall close the qualified alert.
The AI Office means the Commission’s function of contributing to the implementation, monitoring and supervision of AI systems and general-purpose AI models, and AI governance, provided for in Commission Decision of 24 January 2024; references in this Regulation to the AI Office shall be construed as references to the Commission; shall process the qualified alert within two weeks from the receipt of the complete qualified alert. At any time before taking its decision, the AI Office means the Commission’s function of contributing to the implementation, monitoring and supervision of AI systems and general-purpose AI models, and AI governance, provided for in Commission Decision of 24 January 2024; references in this Regulation to the AI Office shall be construed as references to the Commission; may require the requesting member of the scientific panel to provide additional information to substantiate the request. In this case the qualified alert shall not be considered complete until the additional information has been provided.
Before launching the measures referred to in paragraph 1, the AI Office means the Commission’s function of contributing to the implementation, monitoring and supervision of AI systems and general-purpose AI models, and AI governance, provided for in Commission Decision of 24 January 2024; references in this Regulation to the AI Office shall be construed as references to the Commission; shall inform the Board in accordance with Article 90(2) of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689.
Where the AI Office means the Commission’s function of contributing to the implementation, monitoring and supervision of AI systems and general-purpose AI models, and AI governance, provided for in Commission Decision of 24 January 2024; references in this Regulation to the AI Office shall be construed as references to the Commission; decides to launch a measure pursuant to Articles 91 to 93 of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689, the Secretariat, in consultation with the Chair of the scientific panel shall appoint a rapporteur and two contributors responsible to advise the Commission in the adoption of the measures.
