This article sets out the immediate obligations of competent authorities upon receiving an application for approval of a crypto-asset white paper.

It directly follows from Article 1, which governs how credit institutions submit their applications, and establishes the first formal step in the competent authority's response process: confirming receipt and providing the applicant with basic administrative details to facilitate ongoing communication.

Competent authorities are required to acknowledge receipt of a crypto-asset white paper application within 2 working days of receiving it.
