Summary What does Article 2 of the ITS on supervisory cooperation say?

This article establishes the practical infrastructure for the cooperation and information exchange framework set out under Article 96 of Regulation (EU) 2023/1114 (MiCA).

It does so by requiring each competent authority to designate a dedicated contact point, communicate that contact point's details to ESMA and EBA, and ensures that ESMA and EBA maintain a live, up-to-date directory of all such contact points across Member States.

Competent authorities are required to designate a contact point for cooperation and information exchange purposes, and notify ESMA and EBA of its details by 27 November 2024.
Competent authorities must keep ESMA and EBA informed of any changes to their contact point details on an ongoing basis.
