Summary What does Article 4 of the ITS on register of information say?
This brief but practical article sets out the structural and completion rules for the templates that make up the register of information.
It acts as a companion to Article 5, which specifies what information must be included, by establishing how that information must be formatted and entered.
The rules are straightforward: templates follow a fixed table structure, each data element takes a single value, and coverage must span all applicable levels of reporting.
Important points:
- Complete each data element with a single value — if multiple values apply, add a separate row for each.
- Ensure the register of information is completed at entity level, sub-consolidated and consolidated level, as applicable.
- Templates are structured as tables with a fixed number of columns but an unlimited number of rows to accommodate additional data.
Springlex's summary of the article, a reading aid, not a substitute for the legal text.
