L’Autorité est chargée d’assurer une coopération efficace et cohérente entre les cellules de renseignement financier (CRF) dans le cadre du mécanisme de coordination et de soutien pour les CRF. À cette fin, l’Autorité coordonne et soutient les activités des CRF.
L’Autorité et les CRF sont soumises à un devoir de coopération loyale, y compris en ce qui concerne les analyses communes soutenues ou initiées par l’Autorité, et à une obligation d’échanger les informations nécessaires à l’accomplissement de leurs tâches respectives.
L’Autorité dispose de ressources humaines, financières et informatiques spécifiques pour soutenir les tâches visées à l’article 5, paragraphe 5, et assure, si nécessaire, la séparation organisationnelle du personnel affecté à ces tâches et du personnel exécutant les tâches liées aux activités de surveillance de l’Autorité.
