Article 73 Gestion transitoire de FIU.net

Summary What does Article 73 of the Sixth anti-money laundering (AML 6) directive say?

This is a brief transitional article dealing with the handover of FIU.net management from the Commission to AMLA.

It sets a firm deadline for that transfer and establishes what the Commission must do in the interim to keep FIU.net operational and ensure continued information exchange between Member States' Financial Intelligence Units.

The Commission is required to transfer management of FIU.net to AMLA by 10 July 2027.
Until that transfer is complete, the Commission retains responsibility for supporting the operation of FIU.net and facilitating information exchange between FIUs.
The Commission must regularly convene meetings of the EU FIU's Platform, made up of representatives from Member States' FIUs, to oversee FIU.net during the transitional period.
