Article 1 Templates for the transparency reports

Summary What does Article 1 of the Templates for transparency reports say?

This article establishes the mandatory format for transparency reporting under the Digital Services Act (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065).

It requires all in-scope service providers to use standardised templates when fulfilling their transparency reporting obligations, and specifies that those templates must be completed and published in line with the rules set out in Annex II of this Regulation.

Important points:

  • All categories of in-scope providers — intermediary services, hosting services, online platforms, very large online platforms, and very large online search engines — must use the templates set out in Annex I to meet their transparency reporting obligations.
  • Use the CSV or XLSX version of the templates; no other format is prescribed.
  • The templates must be filled in and made publicly available in accordance with Annex II of this Regulation.
