Article 25 Additional information on the customer and the beneficial owners

For the purposes of Article 34(4), point (a), of Regulation (EU) 2024/1624, obliged entities shall obtain one or more of the following additional information that will allow them to:
be satisfied that the information they hold on the customer and the beneficial ownersmeans any natural person who ultimately owns or controls a legal entity or an express trust or similar legal arrangement; or the ownership and control structure of the customer other than a natural person is authentic and accurate; or
assess the reputation of the customer and the beneficial ownersmeans any natural person who ultimately owns or controls a legal entity or an express trust or similar legal arrangement;; or
identify and assess in a comprehensive way ML/TF risks associated with the customer, the beneficial ownersmeans any natural person who ultimately owns or controls a legal entity or an express trust or similar legal arrangement; or any close relationships known to the obliged entity or that are publicly known.
