Article 69 Access to the pool of experts by the Member States

Summary What does Article 69 of the AI act regulation say?

This short article directly extends the utility of the scientific panel established under Article 68, allowing Member States to draw on its independent experts to support their own enforcement activities.

It is essentially an access provision, setting out how Member States can engage this resource and clarifying the related financial and organisational arrangements.

Important points:

  • Member States may call upon scientific panel experts to support their enforcement activities under this Regulation.
  • Member States may be required to pay fees for this expert advice and support.
