Artikel 11 Kontaktstellen für die Behörden der Mitgliedstaaten, die Kommission und den Vorstand

Summary What does Article 11 of the DSA regulation say?

This article establishes a straightforward but important administrative requirement for providers of intermediary services: they must set up a single point of contact to facilitate direct electronic communication with public authorities, including Member States' authorities, the Commission, and the Board.

The article also addresses how this contact information must be presented and the language requirements attached to it, ensuring that authorities can communicate effectively with providers across the Union.

Important points:

  • Designate a single point of contact, accessible electronically, for communications with Member States' authorities, the Commission, and the Board.
  • Providers of intermediary services must make the contact information publicly available, easily accessible, and kept up to date.
  • The contact point must specify the languages in which it can be reached, including at least one official language of the Member State where the provider is established or where its legal representative resides.

Springlex's summary of the article is a reading aid, not a substitute for the legal text.
